“Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.” Gail Devers
I have signed up to participate in a free 3 day floral abstract art online course commencing 9 November 2020 and intend to share the fruits of my endeavor on this blog.
The artist running this course will be using the supplies listed below, but encourages participants to use whatever they have lying around which for me is not much at all since I have had too long a hiatus from being creative with paint, paint brushes and paper. So I guess an art supply shopping trip is on the cards if I am to optimize my creative output.
• Art journals
• Black paper or brown kraft paper
• Yupo paper
• Oil Pastels
• Watercolours
• Watercolor paper
• Colored Pencils
• Acrylic paints
• High Flow Acrylics
• Spray water bottle
• Posca Paint Pens
• Indian Inks (black and white)
• Papers/old paintings for collage
• Charcoal
I am also hoping I can up the anti on the technology front by recording my creative attempts from an overhead camera angle – yes you are right – I am throwing myself a second challenge – to film, edit and post my creative process & my final creations here. I am thinking of time lapse footage. So in essence I will vlog for an entry on my blog!! Now to make the second challenge happen, I need to invest in some new technology and I am acutely aware that I am up against time so I know I am being wildly optimistic. But as always, I will try.
I will share this artists’ details, her creative process and links to her website & social media as I start to post my artistic endeavors so that you too can be inspired to create. The following is a creation of this artist – you may be able to guess who it is but if not I will reveal her identity to you in due course.

Check back to see how my two creative processes unfold and whether I manage to get both up as intended or whether the art is produced but evidenced via still photography instead of a time lapse video. Watch this space…
