I have shared a number of Tomfoolery’s poems because of his genius ability to convey a message through words sometimes accompanied by the visual. However even in the absence of the visual, his carefully curated words paint vivid pictures as he tells amazing stories with his prose and poetry. His thought provoking poetry gets me thinking, hoping, believing in the possibility of all things positive and good – his hark back to a bygone era of simplicity, of joy in the mundane gets me wishing we could bring back the magic of what my parents nostalgically referred to as ‘the good old days’.
Predictably his most recent poetic endeavor does not disappoint – it is about ‘doubts’. I like his personification of ‘doubt’ and the uplifting message of faith and hope that he skillfully weaves through his poem because let’s face it without faith and hope life would be a drudgery and I would personally wonder what the point of the day to day is. In these uncertain times we could be excused for doubting the onset of better days. So many people around the world are doing it very tough and must wonder if they will ever completely move through their dark tunnels to see light. Hope keeps us going with the promise of better days and experiences to come and Faith is about trusting the process and believing that where we are now is exactly how it was intended and where we need to be and the lessons that are being learned along the way is preparation for us to receive what we have wished for, have asked for, have prayed for.
So without further ado, I hand you over via the link below to the talented wordsmith ‘Tomfoolery’ for another installment of deeply provoking and purposeful poetry titled ‘Doubts that creep’.
